Jorge Luis Borges said, "I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library." We couldn't agree more. We'd like to think that Coulter Library is the kind of library Borges had in mind.
The library is open to students as well as the general public. Our collection of print and multimedia resources is updated frequently and includes more than 100,000 items, including books, periodicals and periodical indexes, videos, DVDs, CD-ROMs, pamphlet files, special collections of local and state history, and more. Our entire collection of print and non-print materials is easily accessible through the library's Online Public Access Catalog. Coulter librarians provide individual reference assistance and group instruction in research methods and procedures. The library also offers courses to help students consider the purpose and methods of inquiry while earning college credit.
