- Who is Eligible for Student Housing?
To be eligible for Onondaga student housing students must be:
Fall + Spring Terms
- at least 18 years of age by December 31st of the academic year you plan on attending (i.e., you must be 18 by the previous December 31st to be eligible for housing in the spring semester; you must be 18 by the next December 31st to be eligible for housing in the fall semester) and
- matriculated in a program of study with at least 12 or more credit hours .
Summer Terms
- at least 18 by the next December 31st and
- registered for at least 3 credits for each summer session that you are requesting housing.
A Housing Application/License form must be submitted along with a $300 housing/security deposit. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis once the completed application and deposit is received.
- How much will it cost?
Our rates are comparable with housing rates at other community colleges in the region. See planning budget.
- Will there be singles, doubles, triples, and suites?
While there are several options, for the most part, suites include three single rooms and one double room, as well as a full kitchen, two bathrooms and a living area. Student comfort, as well as a focus on an environment that supports learning, has been taken into account when designing these state-of-the-art accommodations.
- Are the residence halls handicap-accessible?
All buildings are accessible. In addition, there are two suites in every building that have been built and furnished for handicapped accessibility including showers, doors, kitchen cabinets, bathroom accessories, wardrobes, and desks.
