The OCC Foundation

History and Mission

Since its founding in 1980, the OCC Foundation, a New York State 501(c)(3) Corporation, has raised vital dollars in support of various programs and projects at Onondaga Community College.   A portion of those dollars have supported the OCC Foundation Scholarship Program and assisted over 1,300 OCC students in achieving their goals through higher education.  Scholarship grants now exceed $1 million.  Other support offered by the Foundation is of a capital, staff support and special project nature.

The Foundation serves as the primary fund raising arm of the College with its mission "To raise, administer and invest funds for the benefit of OCC and its students."

The OCC Foundation is operated by an impressive volunteer, thirty-five member Board of Directors composed of business, cultural and community leaders from throughout Central New York.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable organization.  Donations to the Foundation are fully tax deductible, to the extent provided for by law.  For more information on the Foundation or would like to learn more about how you can make a difference for OCC students contact OCC Foundation Executive Director, Thomas A. Burton by phone: (315) 498-6061, by email  or at:
