Faculty Handbook

As a faculty member, you are an important part of our instructional team at Onondaga Community College. The Faculty Handbook (Full-time and Adjunct) was prepared by the Faculty Handbook Committee and is designed to outline guidelines as they relate to employment at Onondaga Community College. This resource is a supplement to the Onondaga Community College policy manual, contract and employee handbook (located in the Office of Human Resources and in the HR Public Folders). The policies and contract language supersede the information listed in this document. It is an important resource for faculty and is, of course, a work in progress. Suggestions for additions, corrections and updates are welcome and should be directed to the Handbook Committee.  If you would like a printed copy of the handbook please contact your department secretary.   

Other documents, such as the current College Catalog, the Academic Rules, the Employee Handbook, the OCCFTA Faculty Agreement, and the Advisor's Handbook are also valuable sources of information. All of these materials are available to you from your department chairperson, who will also be happy to answer questions specific to your program or discipline.
