Dr. Braunberger is a professor of English and chair of the Interdisciplinary Studies department. She earned her Ph.D. from Purdue University, an M.A. with honors from Boston College, and a B.A. in communication from the University of North Dakota. She is the recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, as well as local, state, and national writing awards. She is the author of Stories in the Flesh: Reading Cultural Narratives of American Tattoo (Lambert AP, 2015). Dr. Braunberger talked about tattoos at the New York State Fair while on WSYR TV, Newschannel 9’s “Bridge Street.” , catch her TEDx talk, “The Revolting Bodies of Tattooed Women.”
