Campus Safety

Onondaga is one of the safest campuses in the SUNY System. Highly trained campus peace officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The College also has a comprehensive emergency notification plan and 38 emergency call boxes located throughout campus. In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Onondaga encourages all future students to view the Department of Campus Safety and Security’s annual Security Report

Parking and Transportation

Parking at Onondaga is free of charge for commuting students and open parking lots with ample space are provided. Residence Hall students are given designated lots for parking that are in close proximity to the residence halls for a fee.  Centro provides bus service to students at a discount anywhere Centro travels in Onondaga County.  For more information visit http://www.centro.org/ 

Computers and Internet

The college offers open access computer labs and department labs for students to use on campus. Wireless access is also offered throughout the campus

Bookstore

Onondaga’s bookstore is managed by Barnes and Noble. In addition to new and used text books, students can purchase college merchandise and school supplies there.  For more information, visit their website at http://onondagacc.bncollege.com 

Students with Disabilities 

Students with disabilities can obtain support services from the  Office of Accessibility Resources (OAR).  Students are mainstreamed in academic classes but can receive a wide variety of accommodations and support services based on their individual circumstances and limitations.  Adaptive technology is available at several different campus locations and new students can schedule a session to learn more.  Campus awareness activities are also provided

There is a variety of off-campus housing available in the Syracuse area.  Onondaga does not become involved with or assume responsibility for any tenant, landlord, roommate or other rental-related matters but does provide a list of off-campus housing opportunities.
