The Art of Bartending

In this class, students will discover the secrets to successful bartending: how to pour, keep your composure during crush time, flair, and point-of-sale (P.O.S.). This 40-hour class includes training in bar set-up and tear-down, product knowledge, the art of pouring, cocktail preparation, guest service, working with servers, liquor laws, and more. Best of all, you'll be training in a real bar setting, which means you'll pour out of real bottles, scoop out of real ice bins, and be trained on the P.O.S. digital system that is in place at most bars. Classes are held at Mohegan Manor in Baldwinsville. Students must be 18 or older.

Note: no pouring of real alcohol.
Tuition: $400
Instructor: Topshelf Bartenders, a licensed bartending school through the NYS Education Department.
