EMC 259 Digital Video Editing (4 credits)
This course is designed to enable the student to become proficient in the technical and creative aspects of non-linear digital video editing and its role in the production process. Editing concepts such as story building and pacing, techniques such as continuity and parallel editing and examples of single-camera, post-produced programs are discussed and analyzed. Planning for post-production and media management are emphasized. Three lecture/two production lab hours per week. Prerequisites: EMC 169; EMC majors or Permission of Instructor. Fall semesters only.
