Onondaga Community College’s Driver Education Program is approved by the New York State Education Department and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. Lecture instructors are New York State teachers certified in Driver Education. Able II Driving School provides in-car instruction. The program consists of 24 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of in-car instruction. Students MUST be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid New York State Learner’s Permit or Driver’s License on the first day of instruction. Students must attend 16 lectures and 16 driving sessions to satisfy state requirements. Each driving group has a maximum of four students.
All students must have a completed Emergency Health Release Form
for Minors on file during the period that the student is participating
in the class. Please mail completed forms to the Office of Lifelong

to (315) 498-2400 prior to the first day of class.
REGISTRATION OPENS SEPTEMBER 1. You will receive a confirmation email before the class begins with class information and room number.

Lecture: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, September 27 - November 1, 2016. One make-up class available on November 2, if needed. Classroom time is 5 - 6:30

Instruction: Able II Driving School will contact you to arrange for drive days and times. One or more drive days will be on a non-classroom day and/or Saturday. Drive days run until the end of November. A $25 fee will be charged by
Able II for a make-up drive time. Must also register for
