PSL 210 Team Sports: Teaching and Officiating (2PE )
This course is an in-depth study of individual skills, rules, and strategy in each of the following sports: soccer, basketball, volleyball, and softball. This course gives students handson experience teaching their peers sport-specific skills and drills along with practice at officiating in each sport. There is a dress code for this course. Prerequisite: PSL major or Permission of Instructor.
PSL 215 Diversity and Inclusion in Activity Programming (3 credits)
This course prepares students for activity programming in a variety of environments with diverse populations. Students will examine the historical and philosophical basis for the provision of leisure services for individuals with disabilities. Diversity programming considers recognition and respect for differences in race, ethnicity, class, gender, and sexual orientation. The characteristics and abilities of people with disabilities will be analyzed and experienced through community involvement.
