Office of Veterans' Affairs
The Office of Veterans' Affairs offers informal supportive assistance and information to any interested students. As a direct link between the student veterans and the VA regional office, the office handles applications for VA benefits and payment inquiries. Veteran's tuition deferrals and emergency book loans may be requested through the office when financial need exists.
Onondaga's degree and certificate programs are approved for full VA educational benefits. Please note that non-credit course offerings (through Community Education, for example) are not approved for VA education benefits.
The student-veteran may receive college credit for service schools attended, military experience, College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or College Proficiency Exams, according to the recommendation of the American Council on Education and department approval. Veterans, therefore, may have a head start on their degree.
The Office of Veterans' Affairs is located in Coulter Library, Room C217. You can reach a Veterans' Affairs Representative at (315) 498-2293, (315) 498-2200 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
