Just for You
You are the one your friends and family call when their computer breaks down. You would rather figure things out on your own than consult the manual. You are as curious about new software as you are about new gadgets - and you would like to turn your passion into a career. Then consider the A.A.S. degree in Computer Information Systems.
You will learn the current concepts of information processing, including the latest applications software, data communications, distributed processing, user interface, management of intranets and Web publishing in a diverse hardware environment. You will also learn how to apply your skills to a specialization such as networking, information technology support, web technology, or programming.
You will have the ability to work both independently and in small groups. You will have the support of dedicated faculty and since class sizes are small, you will receive the individual attention you need, when you need it. Additionally, there will be plenty of opportunities for hands-on experience using the latest hardware and software. Student Activities >

It is important that students who plan to transfer after completing their studies at Onondaga consult from the beginning of their academic program with an OCC advisor and a contact at the transfer college to make sure both OCC's degree requirements and transfer requirements are being meet. You can view current information on transfer agreements on our Transfer Services page.
"I'd been working at the help desk at a local computer company for about seven years when I decided to enroll in the program. My boss is so impressed with my new skills, she gave me a promotion." ~Kevin B.
