Onondaga study abroad classes are open to all students. Students are encouraged to discuss the expectations of the class with the Faculty Trip leader to better understand the scope of the commitment. Students must satisfy their financial obligation for the trip, and any balance on their student account, in order to participate in the trip. Students must obtain a valid passport six weeks prior to trip departure. Insurance for the trip is required and included in the trip fee. Students must satisfy the academic requirements for the class and adhere to all college policies and procedures both on campus and abroad. Each SUNY campus is unique. Once students select a program of interest, they are encouraged to review the requirements and financial obligations associated with the selected campus. To participate in a SUNY study abroad program, generally a student must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Completed 30 credit hours (sophomore standing)
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Faculty recommendation
  • Other qualifications may apply depending upon the program
