Office of Veterans Affairs

The Office of Veterans Affairs helps support and guide military service members, veterans, and dependents with their education goals.  Onondaga Community College’s degree and certificate programs are approved for VA education benefits, in accordance with the student’s chapter eligibility.

As a direct link between our military connected students and the VA regional office, the office handles certification for VA benefits and payment inquiries.

The student-veteran may receive college credit for service schools attended, military experience, College Level Examination Program (CLEP), or College Proficiency Exams, according to the recommendation of the American Council on Education and department approval.  Veterans, therefore, may have a head start on their degree.

We are here to help you through the traditional college process, academic planning, and assistance with your VA education benefits.  Please, give us a call or stop by our office.

The Office of Veterans' Affairs is located in Coulter Library, Room C217. You can reach a Veterans' Affairs Representative at (315) 498-2293, (315) 498-2200 or [email protected].
