The 2008 men's tennis team captured its first NJCAA Division III National Championship by winning 4 of 9 flights. Ryan Sadowitz, Ryan Everett, and Mason Drastal took first place in 3rd, 4th, and 5th singles respectively, and Sadowitz and Everett teamed to win 2nd doubles. In addition, Jeff Kurtz was the runner-up in 6th singles. Head Coach John LaRose was named Coach of the Tournament. All of the flight winners were named All-American in their respective flights. Previously, the Lazers had captured their second consecutive NJCAA Region III Division III championship by taking first place in 8 of 9 flights in the regional tournament. Myles Knipper captured the 1st singles title and teamed with Ken Schiefer to win 1st doubles. Sadowitz and Everett won in 3rd and 4th singles, and teamed to take the 2nd doubles title. Drastal and Kurtz took 5th and 6th singles and combined to win 3rd doubles. Schiefer was the runner-up in 2nd singles. All of the regional flight champions were named All-Region in their respective flights.
