Oct 30, 2010 - Onondaga Community College competed in the region 3 championship meet at Finger Lakes Community College.  The Women's race was won by Savannah Boucher from Mohawk Valley.  Her team was also the winning team for the meet.  In the Men's race Chris Burnett of Delhi won the race leading his team to victory as well.  The weather was perfect for the runners and the courses were challenging, featuring excellent trails and a hill that deserves to be named.

Our Men's team was led by Zach McQuaid(Oswego).  He finished the 5 mile course 31:33, followed by Chris Shannon(CNS), running a personal best of 32:10.  Greg Masarra(Marcellus) was close behind in 32:28.  Ed Donovan(Bishop Grimes) and Tyree Shaw(Port Richmond) finished well to help our team place eighth out of the nine teams. 

Our women's team was incomplete but still managed to represent the school well.  Kristina Sprague(Baldwinsville) finished in ninth covering the 5k in 21:17, with Jenna Delaney(Oswego) running 22:35.  Britt Ross(Oswego) had an outstanding day running 22:56 and Cara Andrianos(ESM) also ran a season's best of 25:38. 

Kristina, Jenna and Britt will all be competing at Sunken Meadows State Park in the national Championship on November 13th.
