The Women's cross country team for the Lazers was complete for the first time this year at the Cazenovia Invitational.  They finished 8th out of the 10 teams in the competition.  The meet was primarily 4 year schools with the winning team on the women's side being Ithaca and the on the men's side Hartwick.  Laura Layton (32:25) made a strong bid for most improved athlete of the year taking more than 14 minutes off of last years time.  The women were led once again by Meghan Guzewicz (23:05).  Meg medaled placing 5th, out kicking her sister from Wells.  Britt Ross (25:34) and Jenna Delaney(26:20) ran a bit extra but still managed to score well for the team.  Cara Andrianos (28:54) also ran well.

On the Men's side Chris Handelmann(30:49) led the way.  Michael Nakoski (31:38) was not far behind.  Greg Massara (32:56), Zach McQuaid (33:26) and Robert Saunders (33:33) were a working together most of the race.  Ed Donovan (37:14) had a huge PR for the 8k distance.  The men's team finished 6th out of 10 teams.

The team will be racing Oct 8th at Hamilton College
