Bumkoth Jiak (Jamesville-DeWitt) a student at Onondaga Community College ran today at the Ithaca Invitational.  Bumkoth placed third in the 1500.  The race was a tactical race with a very fast final 300.  Despite a 43.0 last 300 he was not able to hold off Sam Belcher a former Cornell runner and Gabe Heck a current Cornell runner.  Belcher's winning time was 4:02.86 with Heck in second in 4:03.14 with Bumkoth third in 4:03.31.  This was a very good race for the first race of the outdoor season and Bumkoth Jiak is expected to go under 4 soon.
