SYRACUSE, NY. -- January 16, 2006 -- The Onondaga Community College men’s basketball team topped the 100 point mark once again on the way to defeating Tompkins Cortland Community College, 110-64, in a Mid-State Athletic Conference contest this afternoon. Trailing 15-14, the Lazers outscored the Panthers 44-13 over the final 12 minutes of the first half to break the game wide open. The win was Onondaga’s third straight, all of which saw them top 100 points, and sixth in their last seven games.
All 12 Lazers who dressed played at least 14 minutes, and all scored. Adrian Hanks (Liverpool) led the way with 23 points and 4 steals. Steve Siechen (East Syracuse-Minoa) added a career best 17 points and 7 rebounds. Kenny Gethers (Syracuse Bishop Grimes) and Joel Hughes (Syracuse Bishop Grimes) also hit double figures with 10 points apiece. Cody Endress (Homer) grabbed a team high 9 rebounds, and Tyler Kurzinski (Central Square P.V. Moore) handed out 6 assists.
