Welcome to the Onondaga Community College family!

We know the path to graduation can be as challenging for families as it is for your students, so we put together this collection of resources so you'd have answers within easy reach.

If you have questions at any point in the admission process, please call Student Recruitment at (315) 498-2221 or email us.

The Admission Process

Applying to OCC is both easy and free. After you apply get in touch with us and we'll help you with the rest of the process.

Paying for College

Everyone wonders how they're going to pay for college. We make the process easy. Start by filling out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Also, our Foundation gives out more than 100 scholarships a year. Take the time to apply for one!

Choosing a Major

This is a great place to figure out what you want to do. Earn an A.A.S. degree or certificate and go right into the workforce or pursue an A.S. degree and bring your credits with you to a four-year institution.

If you ever have any questions during your time at OCC, please contact Student Central.

Special Programs

We have outstanding, specialized opportunities outside of class for everyone. There's one that's just right for your student.

Your student's right to privacy

The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law which protects the privacy of your student’s education records. FERPA gives parents specific rights with respect to their children’s education records. These rights transfer to the student when he or she reaches the age of 18 or attends a school beyond high school level. Students to whom the rights have transferred are “eligible students.” If a student wishes to allow a parent or guardian access to their records they must complete the proxy access process
