The Connect @ OCC Program: The First-Year Experience

Connect at OCCAt the Connect @ OCC New Student Sessions you will get to know more about the college, meet fellow students, tour the campus, learn about college resources and meet with an academic advisor to select your class schedule. Sessions are held every semester.

Connect @ OCC sessions last approximately three to four hours, please plan accordingly.

We encourage you to sign up for the earliest session possible, so that you get the courses and schedule that work best for you! Unfortunately, course selections become more limited as we get closer to the start of school.
When you come to Connect @OCC, please bring the following with you:

  • Photo ID (license, passport, etc.)
  • Car registration (if getting a parking permit)
  • Immunization records (if you have not already submitted them)
  • Transcripts from other colleges you have attended (if relevant)

If you have completed all the steps required to register for classes and just need to be advised you can stop by the Gordon Student Center Monday to Friday during the ir  Advising Center’s open hours.  This process is first come, first serve.   

Connect @OCC includes a Resource Fair. There will be people available on those days to provide information and answer questions you may have about campus services, including:

  • Student Activities
  • Accessibility Resources
  • Tutoring
  • Housing
  • Athletics
  • Onondaga Pathways to Careers for young people with disabilities
  • and many more!

Parents or other support members and guests are encouraged to come too. We will have a special session just for them! Looking forward to seeing you!
