“Rob is an experienced athletics administrator with a broad knowledge of Syracuse and upstate New York,” said David Murphy, senior vice president for College-Affiliated Enterprises at Onondaga. “He has a history and reputation for quality and respected collaborative relationships. I’m confident he will do an outstanding job.”
Edson joins the College after serving more than 20 years at Syracuse University. He began his athletics administration career at S.U. in 1991 as an administrative intern for facility operations and was promoted through the ranks to assistant director and then director of athletic compliance, associate athletics director for finance and team services and, in 2005 to his most recent role as senior associate director of athletics for administration and chief financial officer. Edson earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from S.U. in 1990 and a master’s degree in sports management from West Virginia University in 1992.
