Men's and Women's LAX Capture National Championships

The Onondaga men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have done it again – both teams battled their way through the regular and post-seasons to capture the 2012 NJCAA National Championship.

The men’s team – the top-ranked team in the nation since the pre-season – defeated Nassau CC 15-6 to remain undefeated and win its fourth straight national championship. The win marks the team’s sixth national championship in seven years and extends its winning streak to 52 games. Full coverage.

The women’s team battled Monroe CC in a 6-5 thriller to earn its second national championship since the team’s inception in 2009. Morgan Corso scored the game-winning goal with only three seconds left and avenged a last-second loss to Monroe in last year’s final. Full coverage.

This marks the second time in school history that both the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams earned a national championship in the same year. For a full recap of the season, visit the Athletics page at sunyocc.edu
