Onondaga Community College has appointed Michael Borsz as Athletics Director. Borsz has significant experience as an athletic administrator and coach in leading college athletics programs at Wells College, Catholic University in Washington, DC, and Colgate University. Borsz earned a bachelor’s degree from Hobart College and holds a Master’s degree in Education from Catholic University. He is also a graduate of West Genesee High School.
As Athletic Director at Onondaga, Borsz is responsible for leadership, vision, compliance, operational management, and direction for the College’s 15 intercollegiate men’s and women’s athletic teams. Onondaga is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and its teams have won ten national championships over the past eight years. Onondaga’s Men’s Lacrosse team has won five consecutive NJCAA championships, including seven overall, and holds an active 70-game winning streak, the longest in the history of college lacrosse at any level.
“Mike has a demonstrated commitment to the academic, social, personal and athletic success of student-athletes and is passionate about ensuring that student athletes succeed both on and off the field. We are excited to have him lead our athletic programs,” said David Murphy, Senior Vice President.

I am fortunate to build upon the excellent and well-established foundation of the College’s athletics program, and I look forward to continuing the momentum and working with the staff, coaches and our student-athletes,” Borsz said.
