Onondaga Community College paid tribute to the victims of the 9/11 attacks at the memorial next to the Whitney Applied Technology Center.

Onondaga Community College was unable to hold its traditional September 11th memorial ceremony due to COVID-19, but powerful reminders could be seen across campus on the 19th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The area where the memorial ceremony is held outside the Whitney Applied Technology Center included a large American flag, patriotic bunting, and a wreath. Inside the Gordon Student Center a rose was affixed to the acrylic which honors 1972 alumna Wendy Faulkner who lost her life at the World Trade Center. OCC President Dr. Casey Crabill shared her thoughts with campus via email, writing: "While remembering the day, help an organization with meaning to you. Improve the lives of others and the world around you. Spread kindness. Offer hope. Share your skills with those who need them the most."
