Maria Alejandra Pozo speaks at Onondaga Community College as part of Women's History Month.

Onondaga Community College's outstanding schedule of Women's History Month events included a conversation with Maria Alejandra Pozo titled, "Breaking Barriers: Women Leading Change Perspective in America."

Pozo was most recently a tax expert for the Internal Revenue Services of Ecuador. She designed projects and proposals aimed at enhancing tax transparency and fairness.

She is currently a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs. While participating in the nearly year-long program she is working to gain international perspectives and acquire new knowledge in public policy and management to contribute to innovations in taxation, digital economy taxes, personal data protection, transparency, and the development of public policies focused on the empowerment of women.

In a post-event survey OCC attendees described Pozo's presentation as empowering and insightful.
