Sarah is the Assistant Director of Student Health and Wellness at OCC. She has over 7 years of professional experience working in prevention education.

In one of her proudest accomplishments, Sarah created a Drug Diversion Program that is used in the City of Oswego for people under the age of 25 charged with use or possession of drugs or drug paraphernalia. Some of Sarah's experience also includes CASICS (Cannabis & Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students).

Sarah works with individuals to determine their current risk level for substances and works with them to determine how to reduce their risk. Sarah believes in harm reduction with a focus on education. It is important to her to assist students in creating attainable health goals with their substance use and focusing on safety and reducing negative outcomes.

Eileen O’Hara is a Licensed Master Social Worker who holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Oswego State University and an MSW from Syracuse University. Eileen has over 20 years' experience in the social work field, starting as a Case Manager with The Salvation Army working with the child welfare system. In 2010 , Eileen started working as a school social worker with the Syracuse City School District for 14 years. As the Case Manager of the Counseling and Community Care Hub Team, Eileen assists students with food insecurities, homelessness, connection to mental health services and making referrals to any other outside resources as needed. Eileen has cultivated a passion for helping others and is dedicated to ensuring that the students she works with are empowered and able to face any challenges that may be a barrier to building a successful college experience.
