Vehicle and Parking Regulations

The College has promulgated the following rules in addition to any applicable provisions of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law and any local ordinances governing traffic and parking, all of which are incorporated by reference into this policy:

1. All vehicles operated on College premises shall be operated in a safe manner.

2. Persons wishing to park in handicapped-only parking zones must display a handicapped parking permit issued by municipal or State authorities.

All cars must be parked in the lots designated by their registration and may not park in official or reserved spaces. Visitors must park in specially-designated visitor areas.

5. Only cars with ‘R’ parking permits will be allowed to park in the residence hall parking lots.

6. It is the obligation of the registered permit holder or student resident to advise Campus Safety when they intend to leave their vehicle on campus over breaks. All vehicles should also be properly registered and insured when on campus.
