Next Steps

Want to take some classes at OCC, but don't want to enroll in a degree program? Follow these steps:


Create a MyOCC Account or Login to your MyOCC Account
MyOCC is where you'll register for classes, check your schedule, check your financial aid, view your grades, and more.



After you have logged in...
Follow these steps to register for classes as a Non-Degree-Seeking Student

  1. Go to Students > Non-Degree Seeking Registrants under Registration in the menu. 
  2. The next screen verifies that you have no registration blocks. If for any reason you cannot register, there will be instructions on this page. 
  3. On the Agree to Pay screen, carefully read and click Yes, I Agree if you agree to the terms of the financial agreement. 
  4. Click Search and Register for Sections to search for classes. You can search by term, location, days of the week, or times of day.
  5. Search results will show you: Status, Meeting Information, Faculty Instructor, Available/Capacity, Credits, and Comments
  6. To view the course description and pre-requisites, click on the class itself and a new tab will open.
  7. Once you have chosen the class you wish to take, click the checkbox and click Submit
  8. The next page is your Shopping Cart. Select Register for each course you wish to register for on the drop down menu and click Submit.  
  9. Your total balance and additional information will appear and an email will be sent to you. If there is a problem with your registration, a message will appear with further instructions.

Non-OCC Students

Are you a Student from another college that wants to take classes at OCC to transfer back to your home institution?

Complete the visiting student form to register for classes. Explore our Class and Section Offerings to indicate which section you would like to registered for, the course description, and prerequisites. You will receive an email within 48 business hours, once you have been registered for the course(s).

Non-Degree-Seeking Students are not eligible for financial aid.

You will be paying out of pocket for the classes you are registering for or enroll in a Payment plan after registering by clicking on NelNet Payment Plan under Financial Information in MyOCC. Payment is not due at the time of registration if registering prior to the payment deadline, but be sure to review billing due dates and information.
