Meg O’Connell Social Justice Scholars Program

Social Justice Scholars & Mentors

About the Program & Benefits

Because of our generous donors, each year, we select twelve 2nd year OCC students, enrolled in a degree seeking program, to learn about social justice and community impact and work together to make our world a more just place.

If accepted to the program, you'll attend a monthly speaker series where you'll learn from community leaders in Central New York. You'll join other Scholars on a Spring Break Service Trip, with all expenses covered, plus $300 to prepare for the trip.

You'll also receive a $500 Fall 2024 scholarship/stipend, a $1000 Spring 2025 scholarship/stipend, and a Social Justice cord to wear at graduation!
