Quindell Williams '08 has had two outstanding careers since his time at OCC. After graduating from Nottingham High School, he earned a degree in Broadcast Media Communications at OCC, and continued on to SUNY Oswego where he completed a bachelor's degree. Williams earned two Emmy Awards as a photojournalist at the television stations of CNY Central, and was also one of the first two unlicensed Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) pilots in the Syracuse TV market. In 2018, he left the television business to return to the Syracuse City School District as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Drone Technology instructor, teaching students how to operate remotely piloted aircraft systems at PSLA at Fowler. In 2024, he became the CTE Workforce Development Coach, supporting students as they build relationships with post-secondary, industry, and community partners. "I was able to truly find my passion while at OCC and translate that into a career. It's a great honor to be recognized by OCC, which has done so much for me."
