Rob Kent '82, Fall 2024 Alumni Faces Honoree

Thursday, October 16 at 5:30pm, Onondaga Community College will honor a new class of Alumni Faces inductees. The ceremony will be held in the Frederick Marvin and Ernst Schuh Recital Hall in the Academic II building. In the weeks leading up to the ceremony, we are highlighting one of our new Alumni Faces honorees every Wednesday.

Rob Kent '82 has dedicated his professional life to helping people through public policy. After graduating from Nottingham High School, Kent earned a Criminal Justice degree from OCC, a bachelor's degree from the SUNY College of Technology in Utica/Rome (which is now SUNY Polytechnic Institute), and Syracuse University College of Law. He worked in Albany in the office of the New York State Senate Majority Leader, was the General Counsel for the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, and served as the General Counsel at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. In 2023, he became President of Kent Strategic Advisors, LLC, which specializes in healthcare strategic policy focused on helping clients maximize their opportunities to serve those in need of help. "I love to tell people I spent the first 26 years of my life in Syracuse. There's a common sense that comes with growing up here. I loved OCC. It gave me what I needed. It helped me focus. It helped me prepare."
