On the eve of National Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Day, the North Central SBDC unveiled Strategic Growth Services - a plan to help established small businesses grow properly and successfully. The announcement was made at Eagle Metalcraft in East Syracuse. The Veteran-owned business specializes in sheet metal fabrication services, CNC machining services, and complete fabrication and assembly. Eagle Metalcraft plans to take advantage of Strategic Growth Services.
New York State, and especially the Central New York region, is entering a period of scale-driven economic expansion - from advanced manufacturing and semiconductor supply chains, to construction, engineering, and high-growth service sectors. Strategic Growth Services is the product of a study funded by a grant to support supply chain development in microelectronics from U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles Schumer in collaboration with CenterState CEO.
While the SBDC has an outstanding reputation for helping small businesses get their start, Strategic Growth Services will specifically assist established businesses facing unprecedented opportunities, providing them with the structure that limits risk. All SBDC advisory services, including Strategic Growth Services, come at no cost to the small business and are personalized.
The North Central SBDC is hosted by Onondaga Community College in Syracuse and Jefferson Community College in Watertown. During 2025, the organization recorded a record number of new business starts, and was the second busiest SBDC in all of New York State in terms of inquiries and clients served.
