One of Onondaga Community College's leaders has been selected for a prestigious statewide role. Guy Linton, OCC's Director of the Office of Accessibility Resources (OAR), has been chosen for the 2026 Fellowship Class of the State University of New York (SUNY) Leadership Institute.

Linton is one of 29 fellows selected from across New York State, and one of just five participants in the institute's inaugural Disability Support Cohort.

"I am looking forward to collaborating with the people in my cohort as well as the members of the other Leadership groups to help me continue to develop my leadership skills so that I am better able to serve our campus community," said Linton. "I am hopeful that I will be able to take what I learn and apply it to my current role in the OAR Office and use it to possibly achieve one of the goals I set for myself when I transitioned to higher education - to become an Assistant Dean or Dean, ideally here at OCC."

SUNY’s Leadership Institutes are designed for faculty and administrative professionals who are on a leadership trajectory at their institutions and committed to advancing student success, particularly for students who face significant barriers to higher education. Eligibility for the program is open to SUNY faculty and staff who have completed at least one year of employment within the SUNY system and have a minimum of three years of experience in higher education. Fellowship candidates are selected based on demonstrated leadership and administrative experience, as well as a clear commitment to pursuing leadership roles within SUNY.
