If you have a curiosity about the way the world works, enthusiasm, creativity, and an interest in technology, Onondaga Community College has the perfect opportunity for you. It's the Geospatial Science & Technology degree program! This is a great STEM option for students who love technology and creativity but are not as strong in heavy math theory.
Students will learn how to analyze geographic data, use drones and other technology to survey land, and transfer these skills into a career. OCC's amazing industry partners will help educate students based on true industry standards, and offer internships which can lead to jobs. We also have an agreement with SUNY Cortland which will allow students to seamlessly transfer there and pursue a degree in Geographic Information Systems.
Professor Buffy Quinn who brought Geospatial Science & Technology to OCC is the guest on our podcast, Higher Ed News You Can Use From Onondaga Community College. You can listen to the podcast at places like iTunes or wherever you download fine podcasts from by searching "Chatting About College."
