Gina Segreti
Gina Segreti will earn her degree in Early Childhood this May. She's been nominated for a SUNY Chancellor's Award For Student Excellence.

Gina Segreti's journey to a high-achieving student seems almost unimaginable when you consider where she started from. She has epilepsy and autism, never knew her father, lost her mother at age 17, was bullied constantly in school, and was placed in a group home until she was old enough to live on her own.

Her list of accomplishments is equally breathtaking: Gina is an officer in the College's chapter of international honor society Phi Theta Kappa, a member of Student Government, an officer in the Makerspace Club, serves the College as a Social media Reporter, will earn her degree this May, and was recently nominated for a SUNY Chancellor's Award For Student Excellence. It's the highest honor any SUNY student can receive.

How has she been able to overcome so many obstacles in her life? Gina explains in the latest edition of our podcast, "Chatting About College."
