Richard Shirtz is a member of our next class of Alumni Faces honorees for his professional achievements and contributions to the college and the community.
Richard Shirtz is a Regional President at NBT Bank where he oversees commercial banking operations in multiple counties. The Bishop Ludden High School graduate built the foundation for his career at OCC. "The education here was very good and extremely flexible. I transitioned into Business Administration from another major but was still able to graduate in two years. OCC was a quality entree to an eventual four-year degree at Le Moyne and an MBA at Syracuse University." Shirtz taught classes at OCC in the 1980s and hopes to spend more time with students in the future. "I'd love the opportunity to teach again and do some career counseling after I retire." His oldest daughter, Marilou Francisco, also attended OCC and teaches in the Westhill School District.
