The OCC Foundation is conducting a year-end appeal, raising money for student success. Current Onondaga Community College students who are benefitting from your support include:

Eric Shear

  • Eric (pictured below) is a Broadcast Media Communications major who has compiled an impressive resume by taking advantage of professional opportunities outside of the classroom. He is also passionate about adoption as he was adopted. For the second year in a row, Shear is organizing a fundraiser for the Onondaga County Foster Care system at a Syracuse Crunch Game. 
OCC Student Eric Shear (pictured at right) is raising money for the Onondaga County Foster Care system by raffling off a hockey stick used in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Destiny Jackson-Parker

  • Destiny (pictured below) is a Mathematics & Science major who will complete her degree next month.
  • The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program connected her with a research opportunity at Syracuse University which she turned into a part-time job.
  • She plans to become a pharmacist and will transfer to SUNY Albany.

Isabella Shenandoah-Kurtz

  • Isabella (pictured below) is a member of the Women's Basketball team who came to OCC from LaFayette Junior/Senior High School.
  • She's a Mathematics & Science major whose career goal is something medical-related such as physical therapy or athletic training.
