Outstanding small businesses across the region were honored in celebration of National Small Business Week.
The North Central Small Business Development Center (SBDC), which is hosted by Onondaga Community College in Syracuse and Jefferson Community College in Watertown, recognized “Small Business of the Year” award winners across the eight counties it serves.
Regional Director Bob Griffin presented awards in person to the following businesses:
- Cayuga County - Hamilton Salon Apothecary, Moravia
- Cortland County - Project Lean Works, Cortland
- Jefferson County - The Scrub Hub, Watertown
- Lewis County - Hartley's Meat Market, Port Leyden
- Madison County - Ray Brothers Barbecue, Bouckville
- Onondaga County - Syracuse Salt Company, Syracuse
- Oswego County - Universal Metal Works, Fulton
- Seneca County - Legacy Agency of the Finger Lakes, Waterloo
In addition, Also, the U.S. Small Business Administration Syracuse Upstate District Office presented two regional awards :
- Rural Small Business of the Year - New Hope Mills Café & Store, Auburn
- Exporter of the Year - Morse Manufacturing Co., Inc., Syracuse
