Oliver Greer still has vivid memories of the first time he saw Onondaga Community College and the surrounding area. The native of Newtownards, Northern Ireland had seen New York City but never traveled upstate. "I remember riding up Onondaga Hill and seeing all of the houses and thinking it was like something from a movie. It was much different than New York City which was very touristy. This feels like home for me now."
Marcos Molina figured his opportunity to earn a college degree had passed him by. He had graduated from Fowler High School in 2012 and come to Onondaga Community College where he majored in Computer Science. Three years later, he was out of school. "I thought I was done. I was maxed out on credits, my financial aid was done. I couldn't afford college anymore."
