Hands-On Training for Manufacturing Career

Participants will develop the technical, hands-on, and professional skills needed for entry-level advanced manufacturing careers through this free, 10-week CMfgA program, with the opportunity to earn the SME Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) industry-recognized credential.

The training covers key manufacturing fundamentals including shop math, measurement, safety (including OSHA 10), quality and lean principles, inspection, technical drawings and tolerances, fasteners, additive manufacturing, CNC, robotics, workforce readiness, and registered apprenticeship pathways.

This program is offered in partnership with the Manufacturers Talent Institute (MTI) and is considered a Real Life Rosies ® program, the first direct-entry pre-apprenticeship program for women in advanced manufacturing in New York State.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Physically capable of performing manufacturing tasks
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
