Vicki R. Brackens, ChFC is the newest member of Onondaga Community College's Board of Trustees. She was sworn in by Board Chair John P. Sindoni Esq. during the Trustees' September 23 meeting, its first of the academic year.
Brackens is a financial planner and the president of Brackens Financial Solutions Network. She has received numerous awards both for professional accomplishments and community service. She was appointed to OCC's Board of Trustees by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul.
Returning Student Trustee Alicia Oberlender was also sworn in for a second year. She is a dual major from West Genesee High School who will complete her second degree in May 2026.
During the same Board of Trustees meeting, Ny'Quez Madison was presented with his National Championship ring for finishing first in the Men's NJCAA Division III Triple Jump event. The Board also passed a resolution in his honor. Madison is a graduate of Liverpool High School, and in his second year at OCC.
