Onondaga Community College celebrated the accomplishments of its young scholars, hosting an Early College Program Recognition Ceremony. A total of 99 students in Early OCC, P-TECH, and Spartan Academy were recognized for earning a place on the honor roll during the fall 2025 semester.
"Often when I'm out in the community, people ask me to tell them about OCC, said College President Dr. Warren Hilton. "I always say that every single student who sets foot on this campus can be successful, and we're all about helping individuals achieve their dreams and helping communities thrive. This program and the success of this program, is all about that. The success of all of you in this room really warms my heart. I'm grateful we can celebrate you today."
Student speaker Kyuana Williams also addressed attendees. Williams, a senior at Syracuse Academy of Science, is completing her associate degree in Mathematics and Science this semester. She plans to continue her education at a four-year institution, where she hopes to earn a master’s degree in a Forensic Pathologist Assistant program. “I always push myself to do well in school,” Williams said. “Being recognized today for all of our accomplishments feels really rewarding.”
