Navigators of Student Success - Naomi Stewart

Throughout the spring semester, we are introducing you to several of our Student Success Navigators. For Onondaga Community College students, they are the dedicated point of contact for support. Student Success Navigators assist with class registration, help students stay on track academically, and connect students with campus resources to support their success.

• Naomi is a Student Success Navigator in OCC's School of Technology, Engineering & Computing.
• Academic programs Naomi specializes in are Automotive Technology AAS degree and Certificate, Advanced Manufacturing Certificate, Database Microcredential, and Networking Microcredential.
• What Naomi enjoys about being a Student Success Navigator: "In a world where it can feel like no one is listening and it’s easy to get lost in the crowd, I love that part of my Navigator role is to give my time and attention to affirming my students’ worth and limitless potential. Every student I work with is here because they want to make their lives better. I love seeing how taking the time to listen and provide individualized support can build my students’ confidence and help them connect their time at OCC to the larger vision they have for their lives. Nothing beats genuine human connection, and I get to experience that regularly in this role."
