There's a new place on the Onondaga Community College campus designed to help adult learners as they juggle the demands of parenthood with earning a college degree. The Parent and Adult Learner Suite, also known as "PALS," opened earlier this semester. It's a child-friendly room where student-parents can work on individual or group assignments while their children enjoy supervised play. The room consists of:

  • Study space
  • Lounge space
  • Children's playroom
  • Nursing and changing room (parents must bring their own supplies)
  • Limited amount of school supplies
  • Free children's clothing exchange
  • Visits from community partners

PALS is located in Mawhinney Hall in room M186 on the first floor. The space was created by OCC's Counseling and Community Care Hub.

You can take a brief tour of PALS by clicking on this video link.
