With the start of the fall semester just around the corner, Onondaga Community College welcomed new students and their families to campus during the week of August 10 for New Student Orientation.
Among the most impressive sights was a group of 250 incoming ninth graders from the Syracuse City School District gathered on Wilbur Field at Lazer Stadium for a group photo. The students are entering Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that will give them an early start on their college and career journeys.
This fall, the students will begin CTE coursework at their high schools. Their pathway will bring them to campus beginning in their junior year, where they will take college-level classes and continue building the skills and knowledge they need for success after high school.
