PTK Trophies

Onondaga Community College's chapter of international honor society Phi Theta Kappa is going to need a bigger trophy case! The College's chapter was named 9th best in the world out of nearly 1,300 chapters! This is the third year in a row OCC’s PTK chapter had been ranked among the top ten internationally.

Along with the outstanding worldwide placement, OCC’s chapter was also recognized for having the top Distinguished Honors Project, and received the Beta Alpha Continued Excellence Award. The international awards were announced Saturday night during a virtual conference.

“Being ranked in the top ten internationally for three years in a row is a true testament to the outstanding work that our Leadership Team members do each day, and also to the unparalleled support OCC and the OCC Foundation provides our chapter,” said PTK Faculty Advisor Dr. Annie Tuttle.

“I’m so proud of our students, the meaningful work they have accomplished in our campus community and beyond, and the PTK Advisors who support our students. To be recognized for their accomplishments on the world stage is a credit to all of them and something our entire campus community can be proud of,” said OCC President Dr. Casey Crabill.

The international awards come on the heels of OCC’s chapter being named tops in New York State for the third year in a row.
