Recreational / Hobbyist Drone Introduction

Course Description

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own drone to register and use during class.

This course provides the public access to more knowledge about recreational and hobbyist drone practices and laws beyond the minimum 30 minutes – 1 hour of instruction mandated by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) to take the trust exam. Class members will be able to take the TRUST exam on site and register their drone. This course is highly recommended for beginners!

The intent of this course is to create more safe and legal pilots in the community, and to make the skies and community safer by having these pilots. OCC’s Introduction to Recreational Drones course is taught by an FAA Part 107 certified commercial drone pilot and allows students to fulfill all federal requirements for non-commercial/recreational drone usage.
