Navigators of Student Success - Cassie Briglin

Throughout the spring semester, we are introducing you to several of our Student Success Navigators. For Onondaga Community College students, they are the dedicated point of contact for support. Student Success Navigators assist with class registration, help students stay on track academically, and connect students with campus resources to support their success.

Cassie Briglin

• Cassie is a Student Success Navigator in OCC's School of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
• Academic programs Collette specializes in include all Education-related degrees, certificates, and micro-credentials.
• What Cassie enjoys about being a Student Success Navigator: "Students come to OCC with a variety of circumstances and situations that impact their studies here. Many of my students work full-time, have families, or have other responsibilities outside of school that pull them in different directions. I also have students who are attending right out of high school, but they are not familiar with college rules, or they find it difficult to understand the process of becoming a certified teacher in New York. I enjoy supporting students to ensure their time at OCC helps them achieve their transfer goals, while also tending to all their responsibilities outside of OCC. My hope is that I can help make the college process, as an Education major, as simple as possible. It is rewarding to see students move in the direction they want to go and make progress toward a rewarding career, all while gaining the confidence to make informed decisions at their transfer college."
