Student Leadership

The Office of Student Leadership and Engagement (OSLE) gives students the chance to deepen their personal and academic experience through events, organizations, and leadership opportunities. Students who get involved  find themselves developing more relationships, learning more about teamwork and cooperation, and having much more fun! OSLE is the 'hub' of all things student activities, sponsoring both on-campus events (like our bi-annual Party on the Quad) and off-campus trips.

One of the most prominent facets of OSLE is the Student Government Association (SGA), which lets students develop leadership skills while serving the needs of the student body. Elected student officers and professional staff collaborate with students, faculty, staff and administration to identify and deliver programming and services that reflect the needs and preferences of the student body.

Elections for open SGA positions are held in mid-Spring and all activity fee paying students are eligible to vote in elections.  SGA positions include:

  • President
  • Vice President; Clubs and Organizations
  • Vice President; Entertainment and Programming
  • Vice President; Media
  • Representative to the OCCA Board (2 positions)
  • Representative to the OCC Board of Trustees
